New Years Day 2007 saw us take a trip to St James' Park Newcastle for the Premiership match of The Toon Army vs The Red Devils. Seated in front of the Manchester United fans in full song and amongst the Newcastle United supporters reputed to be the fiercest in the league the scene was set, quite an atmosphere. The stadium holds in excess of 55,000 punters, perfect views from every place, and the match did not disappoint. Finishing 2-2 after a late equaliser from the home team. Man U's Paul Scholes scoring both of Uniteds goals one in each half.

I just watched Newcastle myself in the weekend, at the hallow turf of Craven Cottage. Was a good result too for my team, beating the Toons 2-1. That's two Fulham vs Newcastle games I've been to, and two wins for the Cottagers....
Ah the Cottagers, good ol Cottagers! You have a full stadium? Great atmos eh!
Good to see you went to a real ground rather than a Cottage AP!
